| This year, 2 evenings of events mark the observance of National Night Out in Mifflin Co. beginning Monday, August 2nd .The 2nd Annual Splash Hop, sponsored by Touring Friends Motorcycle Club, will be held at Burnham Community Pool from 6:00–8:00pm starting on that day. Entry is free & there will be opportunities to compete in a splash contest & a diving board free style competition & win prizes (sweatshirts, sports packs, & caps). A free hot dog, soda, & bag of chips will be available for youth under the age of 18. The local observance of National Night Out will be held at Derry Twp. Park at 6:00pm on Tuesday, August 3. This Nationwide observance is being sponsored locally by the Mifflin Co. Regional Police Department, Mifflin Co. Communities That Care, & Community Watch organizers throughout the County. This year marks the 27th year of National Night Out activities throughout the Country, & the 8th year of a local observance of the event. |
