| Last week, Mifflin Co. Regional Police charged James Haas of Guss Rd. after their investigation led them to his McClure home after they found that he had struck Marlin Wilson, Jr. Wilson was a pedestrian who was outside the Log Cabin Inn when he was hit by Haas’ vehicle. Police determined Haas had a BAC level to be .13% at the time he struck Wilson & then fled the scene. Wilson was take to Geisinger Hospital for treatment due to the severity of his injuries. Haas was charged with DUI , accidents involving death or personal injury, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, reckless driving, duty to give information & render aid, & immediate notice of accident to police. He was arraigned before Judge Gingerich & incarcerated after failing to post a bail of $50,000. Snyder Co. also posted a probation detainer against Haas as well. |
