| (LS) A local resident concerned over what Juniata Co. is paying for pension investments was back to get satisfactory answers from the commissioners last night during their monthly meeting in Mifflintown. Ernest Sweitzer continued his requests for the county to provide “dollar figures” & “hard facts” on how much the county is spending on brokerage fees regarding the investments in the stock market & with King Financial. After discussion on attempts at finding out the formula on how fees are calculated, Commissioner Theresa O’Neal told her fellow board members that now that this issue has been “brought to light”, the county has a “fiduciary responsibility” to find out what the county is paying for the investments. |
