| (LS) At last night’s Juniata Co. Commissioners meeting, Earnest Sweitzer–a local taxpayer in the county–raised concerns on how the county arrived at payment to King Financial, which is a brokerage firm handling the county’s stock investments. The answer he was given in a response from the county solicitor raised more questions than it did answers. Commissioner Theresa O’Neal said the county should have a better understanding on the process & apologized to Sweitzer for not having a thorough answer. Sweitzer said county residents should know how their money is spent & urged the commissioners not to put money into stocks that the county could afford to lose. |
